Your Google My Business Listing is arguably as important as your website. Why? Most people will search for you on Google before they hit your website, and see a snippet of your profile
When’s the last time you logged into Google My Business to check on your profile?
Typically, when I encounter clients that have set up their Google Business Profile, if they have, what I’ll find is they don’t really have a process in place to check on it from time to time. They’re more worried about their website and their social media channels. Google My Business tends to slip through the cracks.
The Importance of Google My Business
Think about your users for a second. Most people that don’t know you are going to Google search you and when they Google search you, they’ll see your website or other websites like yours on the left side, but on the right side if they typed in your company name, chances are they’ll see your Google My Business listing.
A lot of people explore that profile to learn about a business before clicking onto the website, to learn more about the business. It’s got your reviews, it’s got photos, contact information, website, descriptions, photos, and so on.
You want to make sure that your Google My Business listing is up-to-date. Things can change, your business can grow, your target market evolves, there may be some reviews you want to take a look at and respond to, update some new photos; so try to make it a habit to check on your Google My Business profile on a regular basis and
update it as necessary.
